Tonight, there will be a new rule for the final presidential debate \u2014 the candidates will be muted when the other is speaking. This has never been done before, but everyone seems to understand that it\u2019s just like a kindergarten teacher muting their students in a Zoom class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And while remote learning is on the minds of most voters, it’s not clear that the candidates will actually talk about kids<\/strong> in those Zoom classes, or the terrifying rise in child poverty<\/strong>, or the unprecedented decline in health care<\/strong> coverage for children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
