We urge the rule to be withdrawn in its entirety, and that HUD\u2019s long-standing regulations remain in effect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Excerpt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>If enacted, this rule would force tens of thousands of families with children struggling to make ends meet to choose between accessing critical housing assistance that supports their children\u2019s healthy development, and keeping their family together.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Denying children access to safe and stable housing is not only immoral, but economically foolish. The long-term viability of our economy is dependent on our children and youth.
